Tuesday is auction day at Connecticut’s newest auto auction. The first sale was held Feb 26th 2006 in a brand new, 4 lane, fully ADA compliant facility on approximately 6 acres. The name Central Auto Auction was choosen because the facility is centrally located to all of New England, New York, Long Island and northern New Jersey. Located just off the intersection of interstates 91 and 95, aka the “Gateway to New England”, the auction enjoys easy and efficient accessibility for auto transporters coming from or going to anywhere in the continental United States. Customers find it easy to attend as well, either by car, train, (Union Station) plane (Tweed New Haven or Bradley Field Hartford) and even boat! (Port Jefferson/Bridgeport Ferry) .

For Sellers – the auction specializes in several areas. New Car Dealer Trades, Fleet / Lease, Repossessions, Donation Vehicles, Utility Company Vehicles, Municipal Vehicles.

For Buyers – the auction offers a most convenient location, being the closest independent auction to New York, Long Island, Northern New Jersey and affluent Fairfield County Ct. Complimentary transportation to the auction from Metro North Railroad and the Long Island Ferry. Acceptance of Auction Access and offering several ways to finance vehicle purchases including four floor plans, MAFS, DSC, AFC, and AutoUse. The auction also accepts major credit cards and offers an in-house “Slow Check Program”.

 

 For both Buyers and Sellers – The auction being held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. did not happen by coincidence. This strategic decision allows Central Auto Auction to be the “First Sale of the Week” in CT, assuring fresh buyers and fresh vehicles. Also daylight hours was a critically important decision as daylight auctions tend to attract the larger better known consignors as well as professional buyers. Central also has the most prestigious credentials and affiliations the auction industry offers, including membership in the National Auto Auction Association, and the Independent Auction Group. We have a policy from the Auction Insurance Agency which insures all checks and titles issued through this auction, and appropriate bonding as well as a $3,000,000 primary liability policy.

In addition to our live Tuesday morning auction, we offer a Buy Now Auction online at centralaa.com every Tuesday from 4 pm to Sunday at 8 pm, Simulcast during our live Tuesday sale, and three online venues including ove. com, SmartAuction and OpenLane.
